Christmastime Cupcakes
Ginger, cinnamon and applesauce give these Christmastime Cupcakes a classic gingerbread taste that you will absolutely love. Plus, this cupcake recipe is naturally fat free, making it one of the healthier homemade cupcake recipes.

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 1 egg white, beaten slightly
- 1/3 cup real maple syrup
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons all natural applesauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line 8 muffin cups with paper bake cups.
- In medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. In a separate small bowl, thoroughly combine the egg white, maple syrup, water and applesauce.
- Dump the egg white mixture in the flour mixture and stir till completely blended. Spoon mixture into muffin cups.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes; sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
