Artichoke Heart Appetizers

Looking to make your next party appetizer a tad more healthy? These artichoke heart appetizers could be the right one for you. Artichokes are naturally packed with calcium and vitamin C and with low fat ingredients, making this appetizer the right choice.

Ingredients

  • 2 8-ounce cans refrigerated reduced-fat crescent dinner rolls
  • 3/4 cup shredded low-fat Mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated reduced fat Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup low fat, miracle whip
  • 1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained, finely chopped
  • 4-ounce can chopped green chiles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Unroll dough into rectangles; press onto bottom and sides of 15x10x1" jelly roll pan to form crust.
     
  2. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes.
     
  3. Combine shredded cheese, Parmesan cheese, miracle whip, artichoke hearts and chilies, if desired.
     
  4. Spread over crust. Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
     
  5. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Cut in squares.
