Benihana Copycat Chicken Fried Rice
The only difference between this copycat recipe and the fried rice recipe served at the restaurant? This copycat restaurant recipe is healthier for you and came from your own kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon onion, chopped
- 1/3 teaspoon carrots, chopped
- 1/3 teaspoon green onions
- 4 ounce brown rice, steamed
- 3 pinch salt
- 7 teaspoon butter substitute
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon light oil
- 1 ounce lean chicken, cooked
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 3 pinch pepper
- 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
Instructions
- Scramble egg whites and chop after cooking. Saute onion, green onion and carrots until done and mix with chopped scrambled egg whites and chicken.
- Break off chunks of steamed rice and mix with vegetable, egg and chicken mixture. Add sesame seeds and salt and pepper. Stir in butter substitute and soy sauce into the mixture.
