Easy Low Cal Brownies
Baking can be a tough task for some, but this healthy brownie recipe is a fantastic option. These Easy-Low Cal Brownies are delicious and completely guilt-free.

Ingredients
- 3/8 cup applesauce
- 1/8 cup shortening
- 2 1/2 ounces baking chocolate
- 1 cup white whole-wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar substitute
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- salt, to taste
- 6 egg whites
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt chocolate and shortening in a pot on the stove. Mix well.
- Let cool. While it cools, mix together remaining ingedients.
- Add eggs last, then fold in chocolate mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Pour into a greased and floured baking pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into mixture comes out clean.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
