Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup brown sugar or substitute, packed
- 3/4 cup butter substitute
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 eggs, or equivalent egg substitute
- 3/4 cup skim milk
Instructions
- Grease two 8-inch square pans with cooking spray.
- In a bowl put flour, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar and butter substitute. Cut with pastry cutter until crumbly. Don't make crumbs too fine.
- Remove 3/4 cup of crumbs for topping.
- To remainder add baking powder, eggs, milk. Mix until moisten.
- Pour into prepared pans. Scatter crumbs on top. Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes. When cooled sprinkle powdered sugar on top if desired.
