Healthy 3 Bean Salad
Make a delicious healthy 3 bean salad. Add some tasty vegetables and homemade dressing and you'll have one fine salad. This salad will keep you on track with your healthy intake.
Ingredients
- 1 can green beans, drained
- 1 can yellow wax beans, drained
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
Instructions
- Mix the chopped vegetables and let them stand overnight in 3/4 cup sugar in the refrigerator.
- Dressing: 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon coarse blk pepper, 1/3 cups vegetable oil, 2/3 cup vinegar.
- Add green beans, wax beans and red kidney beans to the vegetable mixture.
- This can be varied by the type of vinegar that you use, herbed or wine vinegars are nice.
- You can also substitute garlic salt for plain salt or just add chopped garlic.
