Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 fresh green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup light rice vinegar
- 1 can (14-ounce) stewed tomatoes with mexican seasonings
- 4 whole grain hamburger buns, toasted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- On stovetop, preheat a skillet to medium-high heat.
- Add beef, chili powder, bell pepper, salt and pepper and stir to combine.
- Cook meat until browned; drain fat.
- Stir in tomatoes and light vinegar. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly for about 8 minutes.
- Spread mixture onto toasted whole grain buns and serve hot.
