Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 3 teaspoons low sodium beef bouillon
- 3 cups boiling water
- 8 ounces reduced sodium tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 1 cup green pepper, diced
Instructions
- Add ground turkey, pepper, basil, oregano, bouillon, water, tomato sauce, soy sauce, celery, carrots, onion and green peppers to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for about 6 to 8 hours.
- Add mushrooms and turn up to high for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with whole wheat rolls or homemade garlic bread, if desired.
