The Vebo has a raised bottom; all you need to do is heat an inch of water in a pot and place the basket down. After just a few minutes, your vegetables will be perfectly steamed and ready. The handle is also made from silicone so it stays cool to the touch and is easy to remove from the boiling water. No need to dirty another strainer since this handy basket has the strainer built right in.
I was a little worried that the basket might fit awkwardly in a pot, but it really can be used in any size pot. The silicone allows the basket to be squished down without causing any issues with the steaming process. It also works in larger pots without a problem.
