Barbecued Chicken Wings
These chicken wings are grilled rather than deep-fried. Try a chicken wings recipe that is much less fattening but just as delicious.

Ingredients
- 4 pounds chicken wings (20 wings or 40 pieces)
- 1 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 4 tablespoons water
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 4 bay leaves
- Few dashes of hot pepper sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and rinse chicken.
- Cut at joints and discard wing tips.
- Arrange on ungreased cake pan in a single layer.
- Bake for 45 minutes; drain fat.
- Meanwhile combine rest of ingredients in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 2 mins, stirring occasionally.
- Remove bay leaves.
- Pour barbecue sauce over the chicken and bake 30 mins longer, stirring half-way through.

Ultra-low-carb dieters will find this recipe LESS healthy than the traditional deep-fried kind which do NOT require brown sugar or Worcestershire sauce (you wouldn't know it from the taste, but W-sauce contains quite a few carbs/sugars).
