Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup sugar substitute
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup (3 bananas) fresh ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup fat-free skim milk
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 6 1/2 inch new clay flowerpot
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- Stir together whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter. Next, add sugar, eggs, and bananas; blend thoroughly.
- Combine milk and lemon juice.
- To banana mixture, add flour and milk mixture, then stir in nuts.
- Using a new clay flowerpot, prepare as follows: After washing flowerpot, grease, line with wax paper and grease again.
- Pour cake mixture into flowerpot and place pot in slow cooker.
- Cover with 2-3 paper towels. Cover and cook on high setting for 4-5 hours. Do not lift lid until last hour.
