Slow Cooked Hobo Dinner
Featuring plenty of canned beans and ground beef, this Slow Cooked Hobo Dinner is a super cheap protein packed dinner option. This all day dish gets its flavor from the simple ingredients melding together to make one of the yummiest slow cooker recipes
Notes
Feel free to use an equivalent amount of cooked dry beans instead of the canned beans. Also, you can use regular ketchup and brown sugar if desired.

Ingredients
- 1 pound extra lean ground beef
- 1 big onion
- 1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, well rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) butter beans, well rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) northern beans, well rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) fat free baked beans, well rinsed and drained
- 1 cup reduced sugar catsup
- 3/4 cup SPLENDA brown sugar substitute
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 turkey bacon slices, fried and crumbled
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef on the stoe top until brown and crumbly. Add the cooked beef to your slow cooker.
- Put into the slow cooker the onion, canned beans, catsup, brown sugar substitute and vinegar. Cover and turn the slow cooker to low.
- Let simmer all day. Serve and enjoy!
