My new favorite meal for breakfast is Julia's Steel Cut Oatmeal. The oatmeal is easy to make on the stovetop and tastes great. The steel cut grains give the oatmeal an amazing texture that will be hard to resist each morning.

I am not a huge breakfast fan, but I love enjoying a big bowl of oatmeal in the morning. This oatmeal is incredibly hearty and filling. The oats are packed with protein and fiber. A bowl of Julia's Steel Cut Oatmeal is the perfect way to get energized for the day. Toasting the oats prior to adding water gives them added depth of flavor. The oatmeal tastes perfect sprinkled with a little brown sugar or cut up fruit.

Steel cut oats are less processed than other types of oats including "instant oatmeal". This gives the finished oatmeal an amazing chewy texture that I love. Because the oats are less processed, cooking times are longer, but it is worth every minute! They actually have a recipe on their website to make them in the slow cooker if you want to save time in the morning.

This oatmeal was very good. As mentioned by others, the texture was perfect. You could stir in a little peanut butter for a really decadent and filling meal!

I really enjoyed this oatmeal. I definitely prefer steel cut oatmeal to other types, and this did not disappoint. It was tender, but not mushy. You could add whatever toppings you'd like to this for a filling breakfast!

Julia's Pantry produces a hearty, tender steel cut oatmeal that I would be happy to eat pretty much every day of the week. Whether plain or with some dried fruit, the flavor and bite are excellent.
