    Tangy Barbecue Turkey Meatballs

    If you love traditional BBQ meatballs, then you'll go crazy for this turkey meatballs recipe for Tangy Barbecue Turkey Meatballs. This recipe has all the taste of a traditional BBQ meatballs recipe, but with less fat, sugar and calories.

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
    • 1 egg white
    • 1 pound lean ground turkey
    • 2 tablespoons seasoned dry whole wheat bread crumbs
    • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
    • 1 garlic clove, pressed
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup low sodium jellied cranberry sauce
    • 1/2 cup reduced sugar orange marmalade
    • 3 tablespoons reduced sugar ketchup
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
       
    2. Using a Pastry Blender, combine chopped onion, egg white, ground turkey, bread crumbs, sage and garlic ; mix well.
       
    3. Wash your hands well and then form meatballs. Place the meatballs in a single layer in baking dish. Bake 10 minutes.
       
    4. Meanwhile, in combine cranberry sauce. marmalade, ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce to form the barbecue sauce. Mix the sauce well and pour over meatballs. Bake another 20 minutes.
