Savory Apple Casserole
This salty and sweet baked dish is unlike most morning breakfast casseroles you will find. Not only does Savory Apple Casserole incorporate apples and biscuits, but it also cuts down on fat and cholesterol with turkey bacon and reduced-fat cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 pound turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tablespoons sugar or equivalent sugar substitute
- 2 cups Bisquick biscuit mix
- 4 eggs or equivalent egg substitute
- 3 cups apples, sliced
- 2 cups reduced-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups skim milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix apple slices and sugar in a medium-sized bowl. Place apples in 9 X 13-inch pan in rows.
- Cover apples with shredded cheese and sprinkle with crumbled turkey bacon.
- Beat Bisquick, eggs, and milk together. Pour the biscuit batter evenly over the apples, cheese, and bacon.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown.
