At around 11 am every day, my stomach starts to growl. I'm hungry, but I still have to wait two hours until my lunch break. I need something light and satisfying to hold me over. After searching for that perfect snack, I think I finally found it. Thanks to Element Snacks, I can munch on a low-calorie, but delicious snack to give me a midday boost. The Element Snacks are rice and corn cakes covered in chocolate. Unlike typical rice cakes, these are not bland or overpowered by the chocolate. What is nice is that you can taste the corn and the rice cakes underneath the sweetness.
How can something that is coated in chocolate be healthy? Well, the Element Snacks are only 80 calories, 5 grams of sugar, and zero cholesterol per cake. Plus, it's an all-natural product made with no artificial flavors, preservatives, or high fructose corn syrup. It's a delicious, chocolately snack with none of the bad stuff traditionally found in chocolate snack bars. If you look at the ingredients, you'll only find clean, natural ingredients. For instance, the strawberry and cream flavor is made with yogurt and concentrate from fruits and vegetables like radish and apple. How cool is that?
They differ from regular rice/corn cakes because they are a lot thinner. Element advertises a "Less Bulk, More Chocolate" ratio, and I was happy to see that they were right. The cakes were just about a half-inch thick and then fully covered in a generous layer of chocolate. The chocolate was not overwhelming, though. It tasted sinlessly delightful. The milk chocolate one was sweet without being too sweet and the dark chocolate one didn't have any lingering bitterness. It was rich, velvety, and quite possibly my favorite one. The sample also included a couple other flavors. I tried the sweet vanilla orange, which I found surprisingly tasty. I'm not usually a fan of orange, but the subtle citrus complemented the vanilla perfectly. I was very impressed with the strawberry and cream variety, as well. It reminded me of the strawberry and cream instant oatmeal I used to make when I was a kid. Biting into one of these filled me up with nostalgia and pleasure. It was creamy and scrumptiously addictive.
If you're looking for a light and guilt-free snack to munch on during the day, this is the snack for you. Thanks to Element Snacks, you can indulge in something sweet without ruining your diet. Each package comes with six cakes, too, so a little will go a long way. They’re tasty, healthy, and even gluten-free. Give them a try today!
