Ingredients
- 6 thick center-cut pork chops, with stuffing pocket cut
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs, divided
- 1/2 cup fresh apple, peeled and chopped
- 1/3 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped pecans, toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 tablespoons butter substitute, melted
- 1 cup no sugar added orange juice, divided
Instructions
- Sprinkle pepper over pork chops and set aside.
- Combine 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs with remaining ingredients, except for 1/2 cup orange juice.
- Stuff each chop and then top with remaining 1/2 cup of bread crumbs.
- Remember to preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place chops in a 13X9X2 inch baking dish and drizzle top with remaining orange juice.
- Bake, covered, 20 minutes.
- Uncover and bake an addtional 30 to 35 minutes. Serve immediately.
