"Tamarind pulp is an integral part of cooking many dishes. Tamarind is used in many parts of the world for different types of dishes. Some places like the caribbean actually use tamarind pulp to make juice! On the Indian subcontinent, using tamarind to make curries is popular in the south, and in north it is used to make chutneys. When you get around to making tamarind pulp, I urge you to actually try the fruit in its natural state. There is nothing that is prepackaged that can actually taste like it."
