Amish Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Whoopie Pies

You can't get much more Amish than whoopie pies. These classic cakes got their name from the farmers and kids, who would yell "whoopie" after seeing them packed in their lunch pails. That's exactly what you'll be yelling too. This is a great recipe if you need to use some leftover cake batter. Plus, you can use the cookie recipe for plain cookies, too, or sandwich them for these whoopie pie delights.
