Kate Strickland - Food Blogger
Kate Strickland is the author of Katherine in the Kitchen, a blog full of quick, easy, and healthy recipes. Many of the recipes are low in fat and most also offer the Weight Watchers Points Plus value as well. By profession, Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor working at Cook Children's Medical Center. Working in a hospital, she is well aware of the complications of obesity and poor health, so she has "healthified" many common recipes on her blog. Her inspiration from from her own family history. Her Grandad Strickland flew photo reconnaissance P-38s in World War II. He and her Granny Strickland traveled all across the world, and her Granny Strickland collected recipes as she went. Her mom now has the recipe book that was the product of their travels. She loves the recipes, but how cool would it be to know what was happening the first night Granny had "Auntie's Sugar Cookies?" Here is the place from which her inspiration comes. She wishes she could know these sweet stories from her Granny's generation, but she can not. So instead of dwelling on that, she decided to write her memories that she can pass down to her own family!
