Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Barilla Ditalini pasta
- 1 jar Barilla Marinara - Traditional Sauce
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup carrot, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 3 cups water
- 38 ounces canned cannellini beans, drained
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a stock pot. Add onion, celery and carrots, cook for 1 minute.
- Add beans, Marinara Sauce, chicken broth, water, and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir Ditalini into the soup. Simmer 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and allow soup to rest 10 minutes. Garnish with grated Parmigiano cheese.
